“Carbon Fiber and Magnesium Dragon can’t possibly come from the same lines that pump out Aluminum Dragons. Let me break it down:

Carbon Fiber is a composite material made up of woven fibers and a Polymer ( i.e glue ) . That process involves molds, ovens and some extremely talented craftsmen.

Aluminum is a metal that is machined or cast, in Irvine we machine Aluminum using large 5 axis cnc machines, with again some extremely talented craftsmen called machinist.

The Magnesium parts go through a process very similar to Aluminum, being machined in Irvine. But Magnesium is very different from Aluminum, it is very very flammable, and hence requires different machines than the Aluminum mills with C02 blasts and suppressants and different coolants to avoid blowing the entire building up.

Hope that clears things up.. and explains why they are on separate lines.”
