It turns out that Jennifer Finnigan is actually a three-time Emmy winner, which would normally keep me from mentioning her here. But they were Daytime Emmys, and apparently the Daytime Emmys have a kids’ table built into them, because the category she won in was Outstanding Younger Actress, which is apparently a real category for people under 25.
EMMY HISTORY: Originally, the categories were Outstanding Ingenue and Outstanding Young Man, then they became the much-weirder Outstanding Juvenile Actor/Actress for two years before settling into their current titles in 1991.
Anyway, My First Daytime Emmys have all the relevance of People’s Choice Awards in this race, and the fact that Better Than You wasn’t good OR popular leaves her without a chance.
