I disagree with Fitz on many things, especially the idea that human trafficking is a problem without a solution, without the possibility of victory. I believe every single person saved is a victory, even when the numbers seem so utterly staggering. Today, more than 30 million people are enslaved, a $32 billion industry that stretches across the world. An estimated 17,500 people are trafficked into the United States every year, 50 percent of them children. Organizations like Not For Sale and Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking are working to help save people and communities from exploitation.
