A few months ago, Matt Gourley, one of the comedy geniuses behind one of my favorite podcasts, Superego, got in touch to inform me that he had joined the Earwolf podcasting empire as a producer. He wanted to know if I had any interest in doing my very own Matt Gourley-produced Earwolf podcast. Well, yes and I did and he was inquiring at the perfect time because I was getting pretty antsy waiting for my Comedy Central series Review to arrive on a waiting nation’s television’s screens. We had wrapped shooting months ago and the fun part of post-production had been done for several weeks and I was feeling bored. These are the ideal conditions for podcasting.

Matt and I met for lunch at the Legendary Tam O'Shanter, where a man can get a nice prime rib at midday, and I tossed out two podcast ideas. One of them premieres today (the other is much crazier and may emerge someday, in crazier times than these). The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project has been some of the most fun I’ve ever had and I can’t wait for you to hear it. We will have to wait until early February until it is unleashed upon us in full, but first, here’s a little teaser/explainer to let you know exactly what you’re meant to look forward to…
