How wear a Nude Lip
Push aside your pinks, reds, purples and oranges. Nude Lips are back! Seen in Rihanna’s newest video, “What Now”, this look is tried by many but executed by few. A subtle face and nude lip can turn a boring look edgy and chic. So how do you pull off nude lip exactly?
1. Lip liner is key!
Make sure the liner not only compliments the lipstick but also your skin tone. Having to light of a color can cause an “ashy” appearance which is never good and can draw to much attention to the mouth.
2. Matte lipstick in Nude is a big statement
Matte lipstick gives off a totally different effect compared to a satin or gloss finish. Make sure the matte lipstick is applied well. Scrub the lips before applying to make sure is lays smooth and that the lipstick color goes well with your skin tone.
3. Flawless skin
A nude lip camouflages the mouth into the face to cause a “blank-canvas” effect. This enhances the contour and shadows on the face. Now that the face is looked at as one. rather than parts you want all of it to look flawless. Make sure the skin gives of a glowing, dewey look to enhance the lip.
4. Wear it with CONFIDENCE!
If you think you can’t pull it off, you won’t! Feel comfortable with the color. Choose a color that is not to out of your range and something that you will actually wear. Making sure you know what you like is very important. If a color works on her, it does not necessarily mean it will work on you.
