Best Beaches in the Hamptons

As the sun is beaming and temperatures are rising, now is the perfect time to start planning your next weekend trip to the Hamptons. Give yourself that mini vacation you deserve, and check out some of the best Hamptons beaches our neighborhood expert agents have gathered for us.

Main Beach

You can’t go wrong beaching at a place that made its way into the number one spot of 2013 America’s Best Beaches. With its white sand, clean ocean, and an overall relaxed attitude amongst the beach goers, Main Beach is just the place to go for a peaceful day. If you end up getting hungry for a quick bite or lunch, check out Chowder Bowl, the great ocean side snack bar. Because this East Hampton beach is so popular, we suggest you arrive on the earlier side, as they offer only 40 non-resident parking passes for the day!

Coopers Beach

Located in the Southampton Village, Coopers Beach is a beautiful place with sand dunes, rock-less white sand, and beach grass. Because the sand is so soft and clean, Coopers Beach is known as one of the best beaches in the Hamptons for walking and running. If you want to spend the day tanning, there is a place to rent umbrellas and chairs daily, however, this beach is also a fun place to play in the water, as the waves can be big and great to ride. It doesn’t just stop at the beach - the town is filled with quaint dining, art, and wineries to enjoy after a day at the shore. No wonder Coopers Beach was once named America’s Number One Beach on the annual list.

Sagg Main Beach

Located right in the heart of the Hamptons, Sagg Main Beach is the ideal place for all those who enjoy being more than just a beach bum for the day. You’ll see residents and visitors fishing, surfing, and playing volleyball at the courts provided by the beach. After a day of fun in the sun, check out Townline BBQ, located just a mile away, for great happy hour deals and delicious food to eat with friends.

Mecox Beach

Mecox Beach is just the place to go with your family for a weekend getaway. With bathrooms, showers, volleyball courts, a concession stand and ice cream truck, all necessary facilities are available. On top of that, well-trained lifeguards are stationed at this Bridgehampton beach, so anyone can enjoy a swim in the big waves. With the beautiful ocean views and provided amenities, the $15 parking fee is absolutely worth it!

Flying Point Beach

It is no surprise that Flying Point Beach is known as “the” beach spot in Water Mill. Your beach day is guaranteed to be fun-filled with its available picnic tables, showers, restrooms, food stations, volleyball courts, and of course great tanning. Overall, the beach is beautiful with great views of the ocean. End your day here because this is one of the best beaches to stay and watch the sunset!
