A night out near the Mer de Sables near Poligny.

Got to use the micro-tarp, and once again, the titanium DX stove proves itself to be a brilliant investment; used twigs to cook my dinner, pine-cones to fuel it as a fire-can, then meths for my morning brew.

The tarp was easy to rig, too.

Temperature dropped to around -2C; didn’t realise how cold it was until I noticed that the sandy ground had frozen solid, along with my discarded tea-bags from last night.

Grateful for goose-down, fleece and silk sleeping-bag liners.

This is not a blog, and has nothing to do with my professional life... go to LinkedIn for that.

What I have here is stuff I like: motorbikes, cars, cooking, camping, music and art. I'm fully aware I fetishise stuff.

Hopefully in a way that isn't unhealthy. Enjoy.
