Nothing infuriates me more right now than looking at the 4-star rating of “Aftermath” and seeing that it’s because people were expecting an Ev-4 album or something that has Amy in the spotlight, in a rock genre or something.

Amy has said REPEATEDLY that this is NOT Evanescence and that it is NOT something that fans would expect. Amy is NOT in the spotlight, because it is a movie soundtrack. One that lets Dave Edgar and Malika have a chance to shine, and something that shows Amy’s abilities as a composer.

Amy promoted the album because she was proud of it, and something she has never done before. Anybody doing research would see that, and anything mentioned above.

If you don’t like it, fine, but professionally speaking, it’s the best she has done, and blows Evanescence material out of the water. Oh, and for those of you saying she should bring Moody back: once again, this is not Evanescence, and you are denying that fact that Amy can write ALL BY HERSELF. Shut it, idiots.

Before you start asking for something that obviously isn’t going to happen, because it was *obviously* stated, then you are a fool. Don’t go crying and complaining when it doesn’t happen. (Ev-4 people).

On a personal note, I was not surprised that Aftermath was what it was, because I did my research, understood the circumstances it was under, and knew what music Amy was into. Therefore, I have no complaints.
