Micro Fiction: A story in 99 words

You’ll have thought about me a few days before new year, maybe I cropped up in a conversation, or perhaps a friend asked after me, will I be visiting again this year, and what will I be?

Last year I was weight loss, quit smoking was the year before. I never last long as either, you have so little willpower.

I am your new years resolution, I will try to stay as long as I can, be strong
and encourage you to keep me. But alas, as happens most years, I will long forgotten before January is even over.
