As with the past two years (boo) Tennessee hasn’t posted contestant names, just local titles. Click to view the photos here. Whilst it’s somewhat frustrating, at least this year a lot of the girls have been encouraged to make Facebook pages in support of their campaign, so it’s been easier than previously to put together a contestant list. There are two former Teen titleholders competing this year, and both were semi-finalists at Miss Teen USA 2010! They are Kristen Rose, Miss Tennessee Teen USA 2010, competing as Miss Greater TN USA, and Ashlyn Alongi, Miss Alabama Teen USA 2010, competing as Miss Graceland USA (she attends Vanderbilt). Also competing is Devin Grissom, 1st runner-up at Miss Alabama USA last year, past Miss Tennessee Teen USA runner-up and Miss Tennessee’s Outstanding Teen. So far I’ve identified two returning runners-up from last year’s Miss TN USA competition, Lauren Tangard (1RU) and Sarah Gross (4RU) - very sad not to see Kyndall Covington or Tara Zolfagharbik (well at least, I don’t think I can see them!). Sarah Nicole Yarbrough, SF last year and 1st runner-up in Teen in 2011 & 2010 is also back. On the whole, however, this is largely a group of newcomers and there are some super competitive contestants, and I’d say the field is wide open!
