Inaugural World Cup, Uruguay, 1930.:
Came in variety of colours:
Italy, 1934:
Lovely ticket, incredibly hard to find any more pics of it. Only other I could find is this stub from the final:
France, 1938:
Very classy. Came in a bunch of colours too.
(Bonus, VIP ticket for 1938):
Brazil, 1950:
Switzerland, 1954:
Unique in that they all change patterns in impressively restrained ways:
And also, VIP:
Sweden, 1958:
Chile, 1962:
England, 1966:
Definitely my least favourite of all World Cup ticket designs, I’m not sure any ‘artistic’ effort was put into these, unlike all the others.
Mexico, 1970:
Mexico took it up a level in colour like Campos’s kits, also a new addition of a helpful clock face.
^Think this one is VIP, not sure.
West Germany, 1974:
Clear font, straight lines, calm pastels, efficiently spaced, everything about German graphic design in the 70s
Argentina, 1978:
Spain, 1982:
Mexico, 1986:
Brilliantly, they made their final tickets golden:
Italy, 1990:
USA, 1994:
very 90s.
Media ticket:
France, 1998:
Nice touch.
Japan/Korea 2002:
Germany 2006:
South Africa 2010:
