don’t you EVER tell me that porn and porn companies (even ostensibly softcore ones like playboy) aren’t 100% complicit in and profiting from rape and rape culture

Ah, you can’t blame the porn industry completely when there are many people out there who have fetishes for being raped in "play scenes,” with partners they trust. There’s a huge difference between fantasy and reality. Besides, look at how many movies have been made in the past 60 years that have been in theaters with glorified rape scenes…. I’d say that’s much worse, as it’s reaching a wider, more mainstream crowd and most likely younger crowd. Rapists will rape whether they watch porn or not. Instead of placing blame, let’s look to programs where they can have counseling. Let’s get glorified rape scenes out of our mainstream media (hint…lifetime and Hallmark channel).
