I’m in love with “Whisky” by newcomers Marian Hill. From the stomping hip hop beat to the sultry, sassy vocals, this track definitely has some attitude.  And with that this Philly-based duo, comprised of singer Samantha Gongol and producer Jeremy Lloyd, gets right in my wheelhouse. Louis Futon - Alright Alright EP

We’re keeping it local on this one.  Philly-based production duo Louis Futon (Tyler Minford and Logan Zoghby) have just released their Alright Alright EP via Llucid Records. While the duo aim to defy genre, their sound can be described loosely as ambient trap music.  On influences, they point to: "Jazz, RnB, anything that you can make babies to, shit that bangs, hard-hitting shit, smooth shit, you name it, it could probably influence us.“  Head here or here to download the 3-track EP, along with Kruisemode's pitched down remix of sexy track "Shoulda Known.”

Meek Mill - Intro (Dreams and Nightmares)

Philly rapper and Maybach Music Group member drops the intro track to his upcoming album Dreams and Nightmares.  Meek starts the track off rapping at a normal pace over a piano instrumental but soon his signature yelling flow and a hard bassline take over.  Meek goes in on this one.  Dreams and Nightmares is out on Oct. 30.
