Here’s a commission that I recently finished. It was super fun to work on and a great concept that Eric, the creative fellow who commissioned the piece, came up with. Below is Eric’s pitch for a children’s book that would go along with this cover:
Star Wars children’s book pitch:
“Wake up, Master Ben! It’s your birthday today,” C3PO said.
Ben Solo’s family and friends had an exciting birthday planned for him.
His father Han Solo let him fly his ship the Millennium Falcon. “Whoooaaaaaaa,” Ben screamed as they went into Hyperspace.
His mom Princess Leia took him to target practice. “These will protect your hearing,” Leia said. She gave him ear muffs that looked just like her hair buns.
His uncle Luke Skywalker showed him how to use his lightsaber. Luke hoisted up a Death Star pinata. “Alright, youngling,” Luke said. “Give it a swing. Just let me stand back.”
We see other friends treat him to birthday activities, friends like Chewbacca, R2D2 and C3PO, Lando Calrissian, Admiral Ackbar, Wicket the Ewok. Even Jedi ghost Yoda.
Ben Solo learns that the best birthday present he could get is his friends and family… that, and a Porg!
