Anonymous asked: They exhiled Katniss? What does that mean? The Capitol didn't want her? The Capitol people don't like her? Can you explain please, cause I literally see that written everywhere when someone talks about the ending of MJ and her being "exiled to 12". It sounds so... bad? Like even after everything they still hate her? I guess that makes use of the "the Capitol hates me" line, right?

Well maybe exiled was the wrong word to use, and if you haven’t read Mockingjay yet, SPOILER ALERT, but after her trial, the war tribunal decided to send Katniss back to 12 and she wasn’t allowed to leave the district indefinitely. I guess it’s a much better sentence than her getting executed for killing Coin, and that was considered an acquittal.

Capitol people have come to hate her already during the war, largely due to Snow’s propaganda and the rebels’ actions toward the Capitol people. If they still hated her post-war, I’m not sure. I think with time, they would not hate her anymore, especially since she will likely go down in Panem history as a national hero.
