In 2003, 1 in every ten rape victims were male.

Rape culture has lead many men as well as women to view rape and other sex crimes as a crime against women. Men are less likely to report being victims of a sexual attack because of that stigma. 

93% of juvenile sexual assault victims know their attacker.

Victims of sexual assault are:

3 times more likely to suffer from depression.

6 times more likely to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.

13 times more likely to abuse alcohol.

26 times more likely to abuse drugs.

4 times more likely to contemplate suicide.
