This one is really rough, I decided to do the Daily Spitpaint topic “Epic Sunlight” and they only allow 30 minutes, and I’m not quite capable at those speeds yet! Still, I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted to do, so it was enjoyable and I learnt a few things too.

Daily Spitpaint topic - “Mushroom Magician”
“Clayman” was one of the themes over at the Daily Spitpaint group, so I decided to use it since I didn’t have anything else in mind. I did the majority of this in the 30 minute time limit, but then I spent a bit longer adding more details and trying out some new techniques, and that’s the version you see here.
Had to add some googly eyes, obviously.
Did another 30 min Daily Spitpaint topic, this time it was “Glowing waves”

You’d never know I had very little time to paint this, or had no idea what to paint in general, would you?

When in doubt, cover everything in bloom and other special effects!

I actually only had about 30 mins to make this one, so I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. …someone needs to take that blur effect away from me, though

Apologies for not posting here very often, I’m pretty busy these days. Still working on game dev stuff, though!
The latest project I’ve completed is called BlastFX. It’s a tool for creating particle effects which can then be exported as sprite sheets or individual images for use in any game engine. It features a cool customizable post-processing effect stack to change the way the final render looks. It’s really easy to create retro effects with this thing, although it’s certainly not limited to that.
There’s a demo version available over on Itch, check it out if you get the chance. I’d love to hear what you guys think :)
Full version is currently only $14.99 and the funds basically go towards my other game projects (like Ex Zodaic)
