So…remember when we wrote about the Meriden Food Truck Festival going down October 25 +26 just a few hours ago? Yeah…well, we’ve got another one to share with ya, this happening much sooner (9/18 from 4-8) at the Shelton River Walk: Food Trucks in the Valley! This feast by the river is being hosted by The Lower Naugatuck Valley Parent Child Resource Center and will help to raise vital funding for them that will go towards programs and services such as helping people who have undergone severe trauma, abuse, or neglect.
Entrance to Food Trucks in the Valley is Totes McGoats free, so save that money for food and maybe for a lil’ donation. In addition to the 18 confirmed (more on the way, too) food trucks, there will be plenty of other things to do because this is the ultimate Back to School event. Perfect for families and students who want to relax after the first few weeks of school…and perfect for the teachers who want to pig out and drink some wicked good Black Hog Brew. And, look, even if beer’s not your thing, they’ll still have some adult ciders and wine, too. Put that in your sippy cup and drink it!
In addition, there will be live music from Quit Your Day Job and Monster Eats Pilot, a car show with some specially themed cars for kids, different family activities like hula hooping and facepainting, and special appearances like BB of the Bridgeport Bluefish from 4-5 as well as Rocky from the New Britain Rock Cats and Storm of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers from 5-6. You can also check out WPLR who will be there from 5-7 with their own tent, music, and giveaways.
