TRAILER: Fruitvale Station is the heart wrenching true story of Oscar Grant a 22 year-old Bay Area man who was shot and killed by an Oakland police officer at the Fruitvale train station. Michale B. Jordan gives what some are saying an Oscar worthy performance as he takes us through the 24 hour leading up to Oscar’s untimely death. The film is written and directed by first time filmmaker Ryan Coogler. It’s been extremely well received around the film festival circuit. It won the 2013 Sundance Grand Jury Prize and a standing ovation at the 2013 Cannes.
