Suryanamaskara

Sun: symbolizes the divine light, nama: means to bow.

Traditionally done at the sunrise facing East. Suryanamaskara is an expression of gratitude to the Sun for its light and warmth, and a way to consciously invoking these qualities in our own being. The Sun symbolizes Divine Light, nama means to bow. When we practice Suryanamaskara we communicate in a symbolic language-saying, in essence, may the light of spirit enter me, flow through me, and connect me to the Earth in a conscious and enlivening way.
