Drsti means gazing point. There are 9 drsti in the asana practice. If drsti is too difficult, one may always revert to nasagra drsti. Drsti improves concentration, with the gaze focus in one place during our practice, we can be more present in our postures.
This focus and awareness can carry over into our daily life.
Urdhva drsti: up to space
Brumadhya drsti: third eye
Nasagra drsti: tip of the nose
Parsva drsti: right side
Parsva drsti: left side
Nabhi drsti: navel
Hastagra drsti: tip of the middle finger
Angusta drsti: tip of the thumb
Padagra drsti: tip o the big toe
