RIP Dave Lamb.
I didn’t know Dave Lamb, ½ of the band Brown Bird, super well, but man, every time I had the occasion to interact with he and MorganEve (the other ½), they were incredibly, incredibly friendly and welcoming. Not your average everyday treatment from a band with as much talent and promise–and as many adoring fans–as Brown Bird had.
This picture, for example. I was working for the event organizers (and the local newspaper) on a food truck day in Warren, so I asked these guys if they’d do a picture. They said: Of course! what should we do?
I said act natural. So Dave plucked a leaf off a tree and contemplated it. Is this natural? We all laughed. I snapped a picture.
There’s a memorial show tonight at the Columbus Theatre in Providence. I wish that I could attend.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.
