Four SCS Seniors Awarded National Merit Scholarships

Four Shelby County Schools’ seniors have been announced as 2014 National Merit Scholarship recipients by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Each will receive a $2,500 college scholarship.

The 2014 National Merit Scholarship recipients were selected based on their academic achievements, skills and potential for success in their college studies. This year, 2,500 scholarship winners were selected from 15,000 Finalists from across the nation. Based on their academic accomplishments and PSAT scores, these students also represent the top one percent of the nation’s high school seniors.

The following Shelby County Schools’ students have been awarded a 2014 National Merit Scholarship:
