With many years of experience in the fashion industry, Patrick Guadagno is a prominent New York City-based Brand Strategist and Management Executive. In his position as President and COO of Versace from 2005 to 2009, Patrick Guadagno collaborated with leading retail CEOs, launching product reintroduction and brand awareness campaigns.
From 2003 to 2005, Patrick Guadagno served as Managing Director of D&G Dolce & Gabbana USA, overseeing the transition of the D&G Dolce & Gabbana subsidiary from licensee status with IT USA to fully corporate-run status. Detailing a three-year growth plan, Patrick Guadagno organized key positions within merchandising, sales, and design. Patrick Guadagno positioned Dolce & Gabbana USA’s operations at the forefront of international trends by working directly with the Milan design studio to ensure pre-collection delivery for the US market. This increased both sell-through rates and profitability.
Patrick Guadagno led D&G Dolce Gabbana from 1996 to 2003, leading the startup of Ittierre/IT USA, the U.S. subsidiary of IT Holding, which managed an extensive luxury brand portfolio that included D&G Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, and Gianfranco Ferre. As President and Chief Executive Officer of IT USA, Patrick Guadagno implemented aggressive market expansion strategies, launching one Gianfranco Ferre store and three D&G stores within the first year-and-a-half of operations. Patrick Guadagno achieved substantial double-digit annual profit increases, positioning IT USA brands as leaders in the market. In order to maintain consistent operational quality, Patrick Guadagno took responsibility for all hiring, sales, marketing, product development, and financial aspects of the company.
Patrick Guadagno served from 1992 to 1995 as President and Chief Operating Officer of Calvin Klein Company, taking responsibility for all levels of operation in creating retail and distributional efficiencies. In his first 18 months with the firm, Patrick Guadagno met and exceeded all sales and profit projections.
Prior to joining the Calvin Klein team, Patrick Guadagno served as President and COO of Giorgio Armani Fashion Corp. where he positioned Giorgio Armani as a leader among North American fashion retailers, developing a business strategy that emphasized revenue growth through freestanding Armani stores. Patrick Guadagno received his start in the fashion retail industry with Yves Saint Laurent Menswear.
