Who is NanLT
I noticed that I get a lot of traffic to some of my writing from various Tumblr pages, so thought it a good idea that I set up an account here myself.
I'm known around the internet as NanLT and you may have read things from me at Squidoo or Wizzley, as well as one of my blogs.
I write primarily on 3 subject areas.
Paganism and witchcraft
I have been a practicing witch since 1993. I belonged to a coven group for about 5 years, and during that time was initiated as high as 3rd degree High Priestess. In 1998, I left that coven group and emigrated to the UK. Currently, I practice as a solitary Pagan and witch. I am rearing my children as Pagans, though one is leaning more towards being an atheist as he enters adolescence. And that's okay.
While the coven group I was part of was Wiccan, these days I don't consider myself to be Wiccan at all. The best description for how I practice is Fusion Pagan as I utilise those things which work for me, and discard what doesn't.

Energy Healing
My first exposure to energy healing was while I was in university as part of the nursing degree I was studying. The school of nursing focused on the work of nursing theorist, Dr Martha Rogers and her "Theory of Universal Human Beings".
I began studying Reiki in 1993, reaching Level 2 before the end of that year. I practiced Reiki for several years, incorporating it into my practice as a critical care nurse. In 1998, I studied and received the attunements as a Reiki Master-Teacher.
Between 1998 and 2011, I continued practice and study Reiki and began using it on a more intuitive level. It was in 2011 that my intuitive healing practice stepped up a notch when I took a course in shamanic healing methods through a wonderful teacher, Kay Gillard.
These days, I call myself an Energy Healer. I offer a mobile Reiki and Shamanic energy healing service in SE London, down into the London Borough of Bromley.
You can read more about my Energy Healing work at "The Healing Room", linked to on my main page.
Cooking
I have been cooking meals for myself and my family for over 30 years. I've had my share of disasters, but with time have developed a confidence in cooking that I like to share with others.
I love cooking meals using whole, natural ingredients. I firmly believe that natural foods are healthier than manufactured so you won't find things like artificial sweeteners or butter substitutes in any of my cooking.
Having said that, I also understand the needs of a busy household (having been raising 3 active boys over the past 25 years). I have plenty of quick and simple meals in the back of my head that can be put on the table in under an hour, and on a really busy or tiring day I too fall back on a tray of chicken nuggets and chips from the freezer for the kids, and a tin of soup for me.
Kitchenwitch Cookery is where I share recipes, cooking tips, hints, and the occasional product review.
