For more than ten years, the artist reflected on our relationship with the world and especially our understanding of space, nature, and landscape. This photo series comprises images taken during two expeditions in August of 2005 and 2006 to Spitsbergen, the main island of the Svalbard archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. The series received the Kodak Critics’ Award in 2008.
