See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

It finally happened… My kid just asked me why the sky is blue.

We are fully into the “why” stage now, and I can’t believe that I’ve managed to keep from saying “because I said so” or “because I told you to”. Now I know why my parents said that all the time. Explaining things to a two year old in terms that they can understand is really hard sometimes, but it seems to be working for now… the frustrating part is when she asks why to something that can’t really be explained.

“Emberly, can you please help me pick up your toys?”
Why?
“Because you left them out, we don’t want to trip over them and break them”
Why?
“Because we could get hurt, or your toy would break and that would make you sad”
Why?
“Because you wouldn’t have your toy to play with anymore”
Why?
“Because if it breaks, we will need to throw it in the trash”
Why?
“Because it won’t work anymore”
Why?
“Because you broke it”
Why?
“If you trip and fall on it, it will break”
Why?

And so on…
