Super SMaSHed Bros
2 Single Malt and Single Hop American IPAs using the same base malt and then splitting into 2 boils and adding 2 different hops.
Base malt was Maris Otter, Cascade and Columbus for the hops. Fermented both with American Ale II yeast and kegged.
Dual Single Malt and Single Hop American IPAs.
13.75lb Maris Otter
Heated 7.25gal water to 163F
Mashed at 152F for 60min
OG 1.061
Split into 2x 3.25 gallon boils.
Cascade:
- 0.5oz @ 60
- 0.25oz @ 40
- 0.5oz @ 20
- 1oz @ 0
- 0.75oz week dry hop
Columbus:
- 0.5oz @ 60
- 0.25oz @ 10
- 1oz @ 0
- 1oz week dry hop
Both fermented with American Ale II 1272.
Dry hopped for a week, then cold crashed and kegged.
