Alton Lane: Unmatched Custom Clothing, Unreal Customer Experience

Deep mahogany floors, a row of vintage whiskey bottles behind the bar, perfectly styled blazers lining the sun-soaked walls – I felt I had been transported into the ideal menswear clubhouse as I stepped into the New York showroom of Alton Lane. The luxury men’s clothing retailer has been causing waves in the industry by creating some of the most beautiful, luxury menswear pieces, all while revolutionizing customer experience.

After a chat with the CEO Colin Hunter, it was clear that the Alton Lane family is serious about reinventing the way men shop. In addition to the one-of-a-kind customer experience created in one of the brand’s six showrooms across the country, they’re changing the game on how men are measured for custom clothing. A state-of-the-art 3D body measurement system captures a digital scan of your entire body, leaving the Alton Lane designers with the extremely specific sizing stats. Garments are literally laser cut to your body’s exact measurements leaving you with the best possible fit.

After you’re measured, the fun begins. AL has built an infantry of world class fabrics and linings for you to choose from. From classic staples to bold patterns, you’re going get a custom piece that’s designed by you, for you. Colin and I both agreed that since I don’t wears suits on a daily basis, I needed to take the opportunity to try one of their bolder color combinations. The subtle pink stripe in the suit is highlighted by the custom linen shirt, also designed by Alton Lane.

Here’s what I’m wearing.

Alton Lane Suit & Shirt
Calvin Klein Extreme Slim Solid Tie
Prada Lace Ups
Ray-Ban Wayfarers
Ted Baker Watch
