Paris 2.0

Ever since I returned from lovely Pareeeeee I’ve been asked the same questions like: “How was Paris? Was that shit CRAY!?!?” or “Were you BALLIN SO HARD” or my favorite: “Were you going GORILLAZ!!!!” and so to answer everyone’s questions, “YES” we were obviously going GORILLAZ, If you escape what I’ve escaped you’d be in Paris getting f*cked up too!!!!! I really tried not to do a “Watch The Throne” reference, but were in “Paris”, so I couldn’t resist lol….. Thanks Jay and Yeezy!!!

But anyway, call it round 2 or Paris 2.0 if you will, Janine and I have made our Paris trip for spring break a tradition now to celebrate the demise of winter and most importantly just to take a break from the hustle and bustle of New York City. We like to call it our home away from home away from home, don’t worry that’s not a typo, we have a lot places we like to call home. Although, If we could we’d live here in a heart beat, but until we do, we’ll just keep taking our annual vacays. Now what more can you ask for, Paris is the ultimate vacation spot, we literally just walked the streets of Paris all day listening to “Watch the Throne” soaking it all in, true story!! And of course we sipped on fine wine, buried ourselves in macaroons and shopped the best vintage designs til are feet bled. We love Pareeeee and you’ll love it too because for the next couple of weeks I’m posting everything PARIS!!!!

Last year Janine and I did the whole tourist thing. We practically hit up almost every tourist attraction and museum Paris had to offer. This time around we wanted to have a better balance of sites and local digs. Plus, we had 10 days opposed to the mere 5 days we had last time. Now we had all the time to shop, eat and just chill out and avoid most of the touristy sections of Pareeeee. But the Eiffel Tower is a must everytime we go, regardless of how crazy packed it gets around there and how many times I’ve seen it, the view never gets old.

There’s a fishing theme here! I like the contrast in color and texture this vintage fishing vest exudes.

My collection of Dr. Martens is starting to pile up, but this one is by far my favorite.

Suede jacket: Club Monaco ~ Fishing vest: Vintage ~ Shirt: Versace for H&M ~ Pants: Levis ~ Shoes: Dr. Martens ~ Sunglasses: American Apparel ~ Belt: Zara

We really dig this color combo, it was inspired by ACNE’s Spring 2012 collection

Didn’t I tell you there’s a fishing theme here. Janine’s in love with her new fish tail skirt from Zara.

Fabric combos are just as important as color combos. We like the balance of hard and soft like Janine’s faux leather corset mixed with the sheerness of her skirt.
