Opening Ceremony Announces USA vs. Belgium Fall 2013

image

Sad to say bye bye to Korea, but I’m stoked for Belgium and all the amazing designers coming out of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts from Antwerp. Check out the post below from OC’s blog:

Hieperderpiep hoera! (Translation: hip, hip, hooray! And no, we did not make that up.) KOREA, it’s been amazing, but a year’s gone by and the time has come to welcome a new featured country to Opening Ceremony. Introducing Belgium! We couldn’t be more psyched to welcome the tiny European country with a major legacy of groundbreaking designers (paging the Antwerp Six!) to OC’s clothing racks. This fall, look out for innovative young designers like Cédric Charlier, Chauncey, Christian Wijnants, and Ek Thongprasert, alongside established greats like Dries Van Noten, Raf Simons, Veronique Branquinho, Walter Van Beirendonck, Stephan Schneider, and Bernhard Willhelm––just in time for the 350th anniversary of Belgium’s Royal Academy for Science and the Arts!

USA vs. Belgium will also feature some super special exclusives, all hand-picked by OC’s globetrotting founders,CAROL and HUMBERTO: Bernhard Willhelm pieces with an archive dinosaur print, collections by graduates of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and La Cambre, and so much more. To boot, Royal Academy graduate and stylist, David Vandewal, will create original collages inspired by the history of Belgian fashion for windows and in-store installations for Opening Ceremony US and London stores this September.
