When I visited La Mar in San Francisco a few years ago, I fell in love with their cebiche and causas. I was so excited to hear that they opened up a location in New York.
Must have their cebiche and causas and their other appetizers and small dishes. They are all excellent; it’s what I recommend going there for. The entrees are less memorable.
#1 Causas Sampler- a tasting of whipped potato appetizers topped with different kinds of fish. It’s a work of art!
#2 Cebiche Sampler- I really like the cebiche here, it’s flavorful without being too sour.
#3 Oysters- raw oysters special of the day
