I saw a news story of a man whose house burnt down because a 9v square battery in a bag of old batteries EXPLODED in his garage. When the banking overlords bestowed a house upon me in 2008, I started saving acid tubes like a responsible adult instead of throwing them in the trash. I’ve been meaning to return this old bag of corroded batteries for 6 years, I even brought it with me when we built our new house in 2010…not sure if that’s procrastination or brain damage… Either way, I finally took them to Stapkes today and I also found my first cell phone in the bag! My dad gave me an audiovox for high school graduation in 2000. Do you recycle batteries like this? - (Today via #heyday) (at Staples)
