(I got to write my first solo piece for Deadshirt this week – a personal essay about the importance of The Dismemberment Plan's Emergency & I to my final year at college (and now). It's my first attempt at writing a personal essay that isn't just about "me, me, me," and though I think my style needs some work, I find this first foray came out pretty decent.)
