For those asking what you can do to help, please link to visiblechildren.tumblr.com wherever you see KONY 2012 posts. And tweet a link to this page to famous people on Twitter who are talking about KONY 2012!
I do not doubt for a second that those involved in KONY 2012 have great intentions, nor…
A trending topic won’t stop a terrorist. Yeah, you raise awareness, but how far is that gonna get you? Are kids gonna be saved because the whole fucking world knows that they are being kidnapped and forced to become soldiers. I do not condone this act of child soldiers but I really do not feel that this online campaign is going to achieve anything. The fucking bureaucrats and the government ain’t gonna do shit just because people are saying #stopkony all over the internet. To them, it’s just another day of twitter or some shit kids these days are up to and probably will die down in a few days. Seriously, what will you do now that you know that there is someone doing such things to kids? Are you gonna go to Uganda to find this guy, to save the children there? Fuck off. Ideas can only go so far without action. I really find all these people are fucking posers. If you want to do something for these kids, spreading the word that they are suffering will not do anything. They will still suffer, while you relax in your comfy chair, surfing the internet while sipping your cup of coffee and not having to care when you will live the next minute or not.
But for their sakes, I hope that this campaign can actually do something to change their lives for the better.
