I spent my last week up in the Himalayas. There, I popped my 4,000 meter cherry (and surprisingly not my ears!) I also shot my first panorama.

This is the Annapurna mountain range – crowned by Annapurna I, the tenth highest and arguable one of the most dangerous peaks on the planet.  Those of you that have read the second edition of Jon Krakaeur’s ‘Into Thin Air’ will know that it’s also the peak that killed legendary Kazakhstani mountaineer Anatoli Boukreev.

This is the view from the 3,000 meter high Deurali pass. I also wrote a bit about the experience here.
