• Tim Drake once attempted to moonwalk out of an awkward conversation, misjudged the distance to the door, banged into a wall instead, fell over, bounced off a couch, and cracked his phone screen. In front of Damian.
• It’s traditional for every Robin to give Barbara an item of bird-themed jewelry (necklace, ring, earrings, necklace, bracelet respectively). She wears all of them on rotation.
• There’s a secret compartment in the Wayne Manor pantry– since every single child has discovered it on their own, they all assume that the others don’t know about it. They are mistaken. Actually, Tim did recently catch Damian stashing extra cinnamon rolls in the compartment, but he can’t say anything about it. He was only there in the first place because he was trying to hide a tub of guacamole. 
• Steph and Cass once spent an entire night following Bruce around on patrol, narrating documentary style. Seeing as they were careful not to say anything that would compromise identities, they could put it online if they wanted to. Stephanie has decided that she will, the next time Bruce pisses her off. 
• Batfamily members frequently test run new disguises by trying to slip them past other family members. One memorable night, Dick and Tim both came to a party in disguise, had a full conversation, and didn’t recognize each other. Side note: both of them told Damian their plan separately, before the party, and it remains to this day the funniest thing he’s ever seen in his life. (Father Father Father come here you have to see this.)
• The reason Damian never high-fives Jason back is because Jason’s hand is always a little too high up for Damian to reach. And he’s pretty sure jumping for it would be undignified.

• There are places Damian goes when he’s struggling. The first is the window seat in Bruce’s bedroom. Bruce wakes up when he comes through the door, and they exchange a few words– just enough for Bruce to assess how bad it is and for Damian to tacitly ask for help. 
• Then Damian drags the best blanket in the house off of Bruce’s bed and carries it to the window seat. He plugs in his headphones and either draws or reads one of the books stacked in the window. While he does, Bruce works from his bed. Eventually, Damian gets tired and climbs onto the bottom of the mattress. It’s a huge bed. There’s plenty or room. He falls asleep at the bottom while Bruce continues to work. 
  
• In preparation for all that, Bruce always keeps his Wayne Enterprises laptop on his bedside table, so he always has something to keep him awake until Damian calms down. Bruce is also responsible for the books stacked in the window. They’re always old copies that Bruce read in his childhood. He leaves notes inside them for Damian: notes explaining who gave him the book, or how it got stained, or why it’s one of Bruce’s favorites. The don’t really talk about why Damian’s upset, but Bruce knows that just his presence makes Damian feel safer. 
• Damian does talk about why with Tim. They’ve come to an understanding about this kind of thing. Tim isn’t nice about it, and Damian isn’t nice in return, but they have a system that works. Damian busts into wherever Tim is working, sits down, and pulls out something to do. Tim comes to the conclusion that something must be wrong. Why else would Damian be seeking him out?
• Their conversations go something like this: Did something happen? No, Damian, you are not evil, but you are obnoxious, arrogant, and a pain in my ass. Should I go on? Oh, in that case: entitled, insufferable, annoyingly competent, and much better than you used to be. Yes, I mean that. I’m aware that I’m a bastard. Get out of my room. 
• All of this happens without eye contact or any tone of sympathy, but it’s validating to hear it from Tim, who used to (very reasonably) hate Damian so much. They both pretend those conversations aren’t a pre-established pattern. They would deny all of them if pressed.
• Damian doesn’t have to do anything for Cass to notice something’s happening. She can see panic coming on before Damian does, just by his anxiety tells and his body language. When she does notice, she attempts preemptive solutions. She ropes Damian into gardening, or baking, or they play with Titus in one of the fields. The distractions usually work. Damian has a better time of it when Cass is around. 
• When it’s too late to head things off, Cass calls Stephanie, because Stephanie Gets It. She has her own, incredibly intense, anxiety issues, and she knows how Damian feels. When she finds Damian having panic attacks, Stephanie lies down on the floor with him and talks him through breathing and mindfulness. 
• You know that anxiety “if I don’t get out of here RIGHT NOW I will be physically attacked” feel? When that happens, Damian does one of two things. The first, for less severe situations, is to go wandering into the city, in costume or out. He has, upon several occasions, mysteriously run into the Red Hood. It is unclear which party, if not both, plans those run ins. Like Cass, Jason favors a distraction approach. They go hang out in one of Jason’s Gotham spots, or they run missions together.
• “Are you going to get me killed if I take you out tonight?” “No.” “Then saddle up. We ride at sunset, partner.” “I hate you.” “Thanks.”
  
• When things are the very worst, Damian goes to the penthouse at Wayne Tower. He trips all the alarms on purpose. Dick shows up fifteen minutes later. Dick makes pancakes while Damian paces around the penthouse, babbling in a stream-of-conscious kind of way about his physical symptoms. Dick listens. They eat together. They talk about the way things are at home, try to find the source behind Damian’s anxiety that day, and talk about that. 
• Dick always calls Bruce after pancakes and tells him that Damian is with Dick that day. They do team-ups like the old days, and Damian sleeps over at Dick’s apartment that night. Sometimes he has nightmares there. When he does, they watch old movies together and talk over them the entire time. 

Why yes! As a matter of fact, I do.

• Jason lost a kidney during his Robin years. It wasn’t a huge deal, because you only need one, but here’s the interesting bit– the Lazarus Pit may or may not have grown the second one back. He honestly doesn’t know. The possibility didn’t occur to him until years after his resurrection, and then he just… decided not to check. It’s more fun that way, apparently.
  
• Stephanie wears wrist braces whenever she can get away with it, especially when she’s typing. Her nerves are damaged from the time Black Mask chained her up and tortured her (War Games), so she has trouble with delicate movement. Sometimes her fingers go numb. 
• Bruce has been pieced back together so many times that he gets stopped at metal detectors– too much bone fracture repair. He has plates all over, but the most prominent metalwork is a screw sticking out of his elbow. He tells people that he broke it in a car crash. He’s lying.
• Cass has scars everywhere, but the most noticeable is a bullet hole in her calf. She’s missing a chunk of the muscle, so she has to hide it in public. (That’s incidentally the reason full length dresses made a comeback in Gotham fashion). One of her fingers is crooked from a badly healed break.
• Tim gets chronic headaches. He’s not sure if it’s a physical injury or a stress symptom, but either way, it hurts a lot. He does a lot of his work in the dark– just the computer screens– because bright light makes it worse.
• Dick’s shoulder has been hurting him since his first year on the job, so long that he doesn’t really notice the pain anymore. It’s the worst in the morning, when he first starts moving. Getting up gets hard.
• Damian gets phantom pains in his chest. He knows it’s a psychological thing– from getting impaled and dying– but it makes it hard to breathe sometimes, especially when he’s trying to sleep. He gets up and wanders around the house whenever it happens. 
  

• Bruce doesn’t like change. There’s a certain style of bedroom that is available in Wayne Manor, and that’s how his looks– antique furniture, full-on paintings, muted colors. It’s your standard rich person room; he doesn’t mess with what works. The history appeals to him. It grounds him to feel like his house, at least, is still the same.
  
• Dick’s room could best be described as ‘functional.’ He doesn’t really expect to be in one place for very long, so he packs light. It’s a leftover from his circus days– keep moving, honey, soon you’ll be gone. He carries one thing from every period of his life (Haly’s poster, photo with Bruce, photo with entire fam), and that’s it. No other decorations.
• Barbara, on the other hand, absolutely papers her room with pictures. She remembers everything, you know, so she has to focus on the good. Her bedrooms are always done in light colors, with big windows.
• Jason has a minimalist aesthetic. His rooms are empty, but it’s on purpose– that’s how he likes it to look. Bed, dresser, negative space. Sometimes flat surfaces have decorative displays. His rooms look nice dammit unlike the rest of his life lmaooo he’s sufferin’
• Tim’s room is a pigsty. Always. He is physically incapable of keeping his room clean– he’s one of those people that thinks “oh I shouldn’t put this away yet because I might need it,” and then before he knows it, all his possessions are sitting in stacks on the floor, and he hasn’t touched a single one in months. He knows where they are though… he’ll get around to it eventually… shut up…
• Cass’s room is basically a display hall– she took a normal manor room and covered it with the things people have given her. She’s never had her own room before. At first it was hard for her to treat it as more than a sleeping space. She’s got the hang of it now, though; her room is highly personalized, and nobody is allowed inside without her permission.
• Steph’s room screams college. She’s got an overflowing laundry bin, an unmade bed, and a stash of snack food– most of the time, it’s pretty messy. Every once in awhile, she hardcore cleans the entire thing, but it never lasts long. She just doesn’t have the time. She’s got the nightshift and class and oh god did she write that french essay yet?? Where did she leave her book??
• Damian’s room looks a lot like Bruce’s, and that’s 1849264% on purpose. He’s a Wayne, after all– his bedroom should reflect that. He can’t quite keep it up though; he’s got a growing pile of personal possessions that he keep in his closet. A lot of them are things he would consider “childish,” so he’s pretty legit about guarding the secret. Stay out of his room. Don’t open that door. He will end you.
