I just came across these two pictures in the photo album on my iPod. The first one was taken on July 5th, 2012, and the second one on November 1st, 2012. This picture is being printed off and given to every flyer on my team who says they’ve been stretching at home yet their air positions have yet to improve since the beginning of July. If a base can improve this much and a flyer can’t improve at all, clearly they’re doing something wrong. Lazy flyers are my pet peeve.

October 21st vs. November 1st. Sooo beyond determined to get my needle.
I’m Gabi Butler. No but really, I am more proud of myself at this moment than I’ve ever been in my life.
Here is a picture of me in both my cheerleading uniforms: my high school uniform on the left, and my all-star uniform on the right. My team mates at school don’t say I’m cocky because I’m also on an all-star team, and my team mates at the gym have never once looked down on me and my skills because I’m also on my high school team. Because the fact is, no matter what uniform I’m wearing, I am still the exact same person, the exact same cheerleader with the exact same skills. This is why I’m tired of hearing of hate between high school and all-star cheerleaders because of stereotypes. Not every all-star girl thinks they are better than every high school cheerleader out there, and a lot of high school cheerleaders have skills that are just as good or even better than many all-star girls. I know this won’t really change anything, but I want people to see this and know that all-star girls and high school cheerleaders are the same people and that stereotypes are just not fair. Okay, bye.
Terra Nova Elite Stars Disco, 2013 medium senior 2 Canadian national champions! I love my team so much. All year we were the underdogs, this being the first year of all star cheer for a majority of us. Nobody expected us to win or place at all but we proved them all wrong. I couldn’t be happier.
Now if only I would point my toes…
