Insidious Notions

Excited about the look of this new Avengers series as a comics fan and a dad. Not sure if it’s the Disney influence or what, but Marvel has an awesome number of comics these days that are great fun to read myself and share with my kids…Silver Surfer, Nova, Cyclops, Ms. Marvel, the Guardians of the Galaxy titles, Silver Surfer, Squirrel Girl, All-New X-Men…For perspective, when I started looking at comics again in the mid 2000s, there was exactly one, Dan Slott’s The Thing series that lasted 8 issues, that I was comfortable showing the kids. The new comics have smart writing, compelling stories, great art…and less ‘grim & gritty’.
