Life has been extremely busy. My first experience being in a project and dealing with our company’s biggest asset from Perth. Now it’s finally over. It was a success that the next project that was due to start mid November was brought forward to last week and now Im working on another two project with our assers in NSW and Queensland.
My Team Lead told me not to waste time going for a lateral move and my next step should be as a Team Lead myself. Good to hear. It also came as a surprise to many that I didnt apply for the Senior role that was vacant recently considering I’ve been acting Senior for the past couple of weeks. Must mean Im doing something right.
Being part of a project though is the reason I didnt want to apply for the Senior position. It would mean I will be stuck with the team. Not that it is a bad thing, better pay etc, but I get to meet people through projects and it definitely is an adventure in some sort. Couldn’t turn down the opportunity to continue.
