Although this link was not directly about JMW Turner, I took interest in his impeccable detail with watercolor. Turner, who was a renowned artist from young, used watercolors as a medium for many of his paintings (usually European landscape). The video describes how he carried his watercolor pigments in a leather case, more or less taking his talent with him everywhere he goes. His painting skill involved his case of colors and white led paint. The females in the video describe his technique as “bold”, using his thumbnail to scratch out parts of the painting for certain effects.  I agree with the video because I also think watercolors are underestimated.  I hope to work on my own technique making such a basic medium so detailed and intricate.
