BLM Intern Explores History
Alicia Alfaro - 2014 BLM Direct Hire Authority for Resource Assistant Internship Program intern working in Worland, Wyoming - is practicing a newly-learned method of Photogrametry in the Castle Gardens Petroglyphs located in central Wyoming. Photogrammetry is a method that can be used to study petroglyphs and record their wear over time.
In 2013, Alicia completed a Master’s Degree in Applied Anthropology from University of South Florida. This internship offers Alicia a targeted opportunity to learn more about being a professional archaeologist. She also is excited about being paired with a mentor-archaeologist to gain experience at the BLM.
