Too many people have put in work & gave their lives for us to be able to do what most of us take for granted.

We must remember that there are self-serving individuals at work in high places to reverse what little gains have been made.

We can never let these suckers hold us back.

Today we remember Dr. King, who paid the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that the voices of the people (laborers, minorities, students & the poor alike) no longer went ignored.

We may call ourselves The Quiet Kids but let us not tread quietly when it matters most.

There is so much more to be done, so much to keep at the forefront; our actions & words must reflect our understanding of the work that lies ahead.

There is no help & no change to come but that which we create for ourselves.

This is not a time to wait on someone to come along & shepard us. WE ARE NOT SHEEP. Solutions are our responsibility, from the people at grassroots level all the way to the top, not the other way around.

Hope is not a slogan we cast away after a rally & feel good moment.

It is an idea, a dream, a vision; it is fuel for real movements, real revolutions, it is far stronger than those we appoint as our leaders who may fail us. It is stronger than any detractor’s arsenal of lies that serve no other purpose than to promote misery & dissent amongst our ranks. 

This is the truth: If it were not for hope backed up with faith, you would not be here.

THAT TRUTH IS UNIVERSAL, it transcends religion.

WE THE PEOPLE, should never forget who we are, where we are from, and why we must evolve.

Education is crucial, look around, ignorance is hell, not bliss. We’ve let the wrong sources dictate the quality and level of information we receive and live with. As a result we’re saturated in so much apathy we’ve lost sight of the value of life & the privileges that have been bestowed upon us. To counter this we must question all things delivered to us & do our own research & verification - especially for messages like this.

Do not assume that by edcuation this simply means the traditional avenues. While they are also importanst it is ideal to find life experiences that will enrich us beyond classrooms. We have to do this for ourselves & our children as the systems that have been established are failing us at pace faster than we can recover.

WE THE REBELLIOUS, must learn to respect that which we do not  understand, to act with maturity but not abide willful ignorance or acts of deception in any form.

Our strongest assets are the ability to convey thoughts & concepts and the access to the mediums that can spread our ideas, this is why even now in this day & age, the pen (shared ideas & information) is mightier than any gun or sword.

What needs to be shared is the REAL WORLD, not the pre-packaged fabrication currently being sold to the masses.

Put pen to paper, brush to canvas, can to wall, text to document, ink to screen & fabric, life to film. Let there be music, poetry & song, let us hear & see; find your voice, speak.

Revolution does not happen without evolution of thought & being.

Be that which you desire most of the world & the rest takes care of itself.
