THREE TUTTI FRUTTI SUMMER FOTDs

This month’s looks are inspired by a palette that rests somewhere between the Saved by the Bell credits and the music video for Starships by Nicki Minaj. I’m one for hyper-real colors and patterns in my wardrobe, so it was fun to try out said brights on my face.
I just went through a local heatwave, and all I can think of is an island vacation where my makeup is flawless. I’m of the lax school of makeup application (I’m realllll lazy when it comes to cosmetics), so often my looks consist of just eyes and lips. Which makes them pretty darn easy to recreate! In lieu of my non-existent vacation, I worked some tropical magic into a couple of looks. Enjoy!
Look 1: White eyeliner reminds me of coconut milk and sandy beaches. It’s also a very simple way to make an impact, especially if you have a deep skintone. You’ll be prepped sipping a tropical drink (whether it’s in Bali or Boise) with a bright pink pout!
On eyes: Bonne Bell eyeliner in “Snow”, Topshop Kohl eyeliner in “Coal”.
On lips: CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in “Spellbound”.
Look 2: The most subdued of the three, just a simple mauve lip and black eyeliner. This one is sweetly flirtatious, a la Ariana Grande.
On eyes: Topshop Kohl eyeliner in “Coal”.
On lips: Revlon’s Super Lusterous Lipstick in “Berry Haute”.
Look 3: My favourite of the bunch, a fruit punch bowl of delicious tones! Tropical paradise, I say, featuring one of my drugstore gems, a weirdly blue pink lipstick from NYC.
On eyes: Urban Decay eyeshadow in “Honey”, Topshop Eye Crayon in “Kingfisher”.
On lips: NYC lipstick in “Blue Rose”.
