Is Primer a money making scam, something good if you can afford it but not essential or a really an important part of every make-up routine?

Do you want me to convince you out of buying it or into it? Because I think it really depends on the person and your needs – I mean, all makeup is negotiable, and we could argue that it’s all a scam to buy into our insecurities blah blah blah. Anyway, eye primer I think is really important if you wear eyeshadow and you want it to be vibrant and crease free. If you don’t wear eyeshadow, you don’t need it. But I think if you do, even rarely, it’s a good and worthy investment. Keep in mind you don’t need an expensive one, there are quite a few worthy drugstore primers like Palladio, even E.L.F.

I do think face primer actually does something. It’s not a scam, you just need to find the one that works for you. I don’t use it, but I also have dry skin and don’t wear my makeup for longer than 6 hours if I don’t have to. If you want your makeup to last, and there is a chance that you’ll be sweating throughout the day, it makes sense to ensure your makeup will last and to use a primer. We’ve recommended primers multiple times before based on skin type if you check the tags.
