Keiko Fukuda Shihan passed away yesterday at the age of 99. She was the last surviving student of the founder of judo, Jigoro Kano, and the highest ranking female judoka in history. Saturday morning our Judo training is with no judogi… very fast and always trying to improve your game when you are with your back on the ground.
We try to work positions, transitions and submissions that can also be used in the classic training, but we also work some self-defense concepts and use some things, like the guillotine, that are forbidden by the IJF rules.
