Joann Sfar is one of my very favourite cartoonists. His line is exquisite. Did you see the film he directed, Gainsbourg?I very mush enjoyed it. Well, this beast of a book is maybe four or five hundred pages of comics / storyboards telling that very story, with notes and paintings and sketches. It’s all in french, and I don’t read french, but it is very lovely. On a few of the pages the registration is a bit off, but maybe that’s just my copy. If you like Joann’s work, you should have a look. I think you’ll love it.
