In 1977 Vincent’s wife Coral Browne encouraged him to “Go stick your neck out.” and return to the stage in the one man show Diversions & Delights, based on the works and life of Oscar Wilde. For five years on and off Vincent would go on tour and give eight hundred performances in three hundred cities.

“I believe my role as Oscar Wilde was my…great achievement as an actor. It was really extraordinary. It was the one time ever in my whole life when I completely, fell into the character. I was really able to escape into…the wit and brilliance of the man. A divine feeling." - Vincent Price 1992, via greggorysshocktheater.
