Anonymous asked: what do you mean by 'problematic' music?

IMO, music that glorifies sexism, misogyny, racism, abuse and rape culture, or anything else along those lines. Soooo, pretty much everything ever by Motley Crue or Guns n’ Roses, actually. But damn, they wrote catchy hooks. 

It is absolutely possible to be fond of of problematic media. It means acknowledging that there are issues with whatever the media is (the treatment of women in a lot of the horror genre, anyone?), but that you still enjoy it. Problematic media is often the stuff people will call their “guilty pleasure”, because they KNOW there are problems with whatever it is, but they still like it.
