Gothic Charm School: pretty things

Velvet. Manicure. I’m beting this could be DIY’d by creating my own jar of velvet fuzz (easy, just shred some velvet), then brushing the fuzz over damp polish. I bet it wears off super fast, but I still may give it a try.

Ciaté’s launching a kit complete with a lacquer, tube of crushed velvet powder, and a small application brush. Creating the mani at home is easy: Simply coat your digits with the polish, sprinkle on some fuzz, and brush off the excess. The result yields a luxe, crushed velvet-coated look (and feel!). Choose from three shades: Berry Poncho (plum), Blue Suede (navy), and Mink Cashmere (grey).
